*Once removed, gently rinse the tattooed area with warm water and apply a small amount of non-scented, antibacterial soap. (which we provide for $5)

*Clean the area in small circles for 15–30 seconds, then rinse and pat dry using a clean *paper towel.

*All specifics will be reviewed in-person during your appointment at Stoic Body Art in Columbus, OH.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, we believe in fair and transparent tattoo pricing. Some tattoo shops charge by the hour, while others price each tattoo individually. We prefer to work with our clients’ budgets and charge by the piece when possible, ensuring quality work without unnecessary stress. Tattoo pricing depends on size, detail, placement, and time involved. We aim to work efficiently—getting you in, tattooed, and on your way with a clean, beautiful piece of permanent art.

In our experience, you truly get what you pay for in the tattoo industry. While it's tempting to seek the cheapest option, we strongly recommend choosing a clean, professional tattoo studio over risky alternatives. Quality tattoos last a lifetime and are worth the investment.

If your appointment is at 1 PM and the tattoo begins at 1:25 PM and ends by 3:35 PM with a couple of short breaks, you're likely to be charged for two hours. Extended non-emergency breaks may affect pricing, but personal interruptions on our end will never be charged to the client. We're flexible and understanding—if tattoos seem expensive, talk to us. We're always happy to work with you to create custom tattoos that fit your budget without compromising quality.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, we absolutely welcome clients who want to bring a friend for support during their tattoo appointment. If having someone with you makes the experience more comfortable, we’re all for it. We love great conversation and building connections while creating custom tattoos—it’s part of what makes the process so meaningful.

However, we kindly ask that guests remain respectful of the tattoo process. Sometimes, well-meaning friends can unintentionally interfere with the artist’s workflow by commenting on tattoo placement, design composition, or size—even with limited tattoo experience. Our professional artists are here to give you the best possible tattoo, tailored specifically to your body and vision.

You're more than welcome to bring someone along for company, but if a guest becomes a distraction or attempts to overly involve themselves in the tattooing process, we may respectfully ask them to wait in the lobby. Our goal is always to provide a focused, enjoyable, and high-quality tattoo experience for every client.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, we appreciate every client who trusts us to create permanent art on their skin. While tipping your tattoo artist is never required, it is always deeply appreciated—especially when you recognize the time, care, and creativity we put into your tattoo experience.

Wondering how much to tip for a tattoo? Many clients use the same guideline as restaurant service, tipping between 15% and 25% of the total cost. That said, any tip is appreciated, whether it’s monetary, a piece of your own artwork, handmade items, or a thoughtful gift. We’re grateful for all forms of appreciation and value every connection we make in the studio.

At the end of the day, your trust means more than anything. We’re honored to be part of your tattoo journey, and we’ll always show love and respect—regardless of whether a tip is given.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, our general policy is to TRY not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. However, exceptions may be considered based on studio rules, tattoo design, placement, and most importantly, the attitude and maturity of the minor. ** If a client under 18 displays disrespectful behavior—especially toward a parent or guardian—we may decline service for that day. We aim to maintain a respectful, professional, and positive environment for everyone.

In order to tattoo or pierce a minor at Stoic Body Art, the following are required:

  • Parent or legal guardian must be present during the entire procedure

  • Valid government-issued photo ID from both the minor and the parent/guardian (e.g., driver's license, state ID, or passport)

  • Official birth certificate or legal guardianship paperwork to verify the relationship

  • Consent forms must be filled out completely and signed in-studio

Please note: even with all documentation present, we reserve the right to refuse service at our discretion.

We’re here to create lasting art in a safe, clean, and respectful space—and that starts with mutual respect and proper preparation.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, we offer a free tattoo touch-up policy valid for one year after the original session. Touch-ups requested beyond that time frame—especially after several years—may incur a charge. Tattoo aging is natural, and results can vary depending on skin type, healing, sun exposure, placement, and aftercare.

To ensure the best results, we recommend that clients reach out within 4 to 6 weeks after their tattoo is fully healed to discuss whether a touch-up is needed. Every tattoo is different, and touch-up needs are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

We’re always happy to make sure your ink looks its best—but timely communication is key. If you're unsure whether your piece needs additional attention, just contact your artist within the first few months for an evaluation.

The healing time for tattoos and piercings can vary based on the individual, skin type, and the placement of the tattoo or piercing. On average, tattoos take about 2 to 4 weeks to heal fully, while body piercings may take 4 to 6 weeks or longer, depending on the location and your body’s healing process.

At Stoic Body Art in Columbus, Ohio, our experienced tattoo artists and professional piercers will provide you with personalized aftercare instructions to support safe and efficient healing. Following proper aftercare is crucial for preventing infection and ensuring your tattoo or piercing heals beautifully.

For best results, follow all guidelines provided during your appointment, and don’t hesitate to reach out to your artist or piercer with any questions during the healing process.
